S. Ambeth Kumar and A. Ranjeev Menon have jointly produced the film titled Pappali under the banner Arasur Movies.
Senthil of Saravanan Meenatchi TV serial fame has donned the lead role. Ishara is pairing with him.
Others in the cast are Nirosha, Ilavarasu, Aadukalam Narain, Singam Puli, Jagan and Krishnamurthy. The film has been directed by A. Govindamurthy.
Vijay Ebenezer has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Yuga Bharathi. Pappali is a love story with a liberal dose of comedy. Saranya Ponvannan is also donning an important role. She is donning the role of Mother-in-law.
Director Govindamurthy while speaking about the film said, “ In cinema, mother-in-laws are depicted as tortuous people but we have shown this character as a good person in our film.
Saranya had donned the role of a mother in law. Now Saranya apart from being a good mother will also be a good mother-in-law.
We have also strongly registered the importance of education and the goal one should aim for. This film will be a good entertainer.” This film will be released on 11th of this month.
