Magic Frames which produced films like Chennaiyil Oru Naal and Pulivaal is now producing a film titled Sandamarutham which has Sarathkumar in dual roles. Oviya and Meera Nandan are the two heroines of the film.

Samuthirakani is donning an important role in the film. Radhika Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Vijayakumar, Imman Annachi, Delhi Ganesh, Kadhal Dhandapani, Avinash and Arun Sagar are also starring in the film.
Sarathkumar has penned the story while crime novelist Rajesh Kumar has penned the screenplay and dialogues. N S Udhaya Kumar is handling the camera while James Vasanthan is composing the music. A Venkatesh who had directed Sarathkumar starrers Mahaprabhu and Aai is directing Sandamarutham. Currently the shooting of the film is taking place in Chennai and its suburbs.
