Actress Piya is a bubbly sweet girl. In a small chat with her: Your parents did not want you to take up cinema career. You were supposed to be a computer expert but you took up acting. Did it yield any fruits?
So far 7.1 sound technology have been used only in Hollywood and Bollywood films. Now for the first time this technology is being used in a Tamil cinema. That film is Aadhi Bhagavan which has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles.
The audio launch of the film Thandavam which has Vikram in the lead role is being launched on 15th August.
The most expected Saguni which had Karthi in the lead role did not do well at the box office. Karthi is now been forced to give a hit film. So his whole concentration is in his film Alex Pandian in which he is donning the lead role.
Director Shankar has already commenced the shooting of his next high budgeted film titled I. This film has also a big star cast consisting of Vikram, Amy Jackson, Santhanam, Suresh Gopi and others.
Ajith has acted with actress Sridevi in few scenes in the film titled English Vinglish. Scenes pertaining to Ajith were shot in the studios in Mumbai. Though Ajith had acted only for few days, the entire crew of English Vinglish is praising him.
The reason for this is that Ajith has not received any remuneration for this. Apart from this Ajith has spent his own money for flight and hotel.
Though Ajith starrer Billa 2 did not do well at the box office, the climax helicopter fighting sequences featuring Ajith was very much revered by the audience.
Ajith very much liked the hard work of the stunt choreographer Stephen Richter who structured the helicopter stunts in Billa 2 and because of this he has given opportunity for him to work in the film which he has donned the lead role.
This film is being directed by Vishnuvardhan. Lots of efforts are being taken to have exemplary fighting sequences in this film. Nayanthara, Arya, Tapsee and Raana are sharing the screen with Ajith. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for this film.
The whole industry was shaken seeing the Billa 2’s stupendous opening. That is the magic of Ajith. He without bothering about all these things started making corrections in Vishnuvardhan script for his next film and started concentrating in the film.
He has also started reducing his weight for his role. As per the advice of Sunil, a gym master from Bangalore, Ajith has changed his food habits and started exercising heavily. He has bid adieu to rice. Now his diet consists of boiled vegetables for breakfast, Raagi food for lunch and fruits for dinner.
In a week’s time Ajith has reduced his weight by 10 kilos. He had asked Vishnuvardhan who had come to see him to click a photo of him in his mobile phone and saw his fitness. Vishnuvardhan has uploaded this photo in his Twitter. Thala fans are very cheerful seeing this. Ajith after completing this film will be acting in a village based film and will be donning a cameo role in Sridevi’s film. In a small chat with him:
Don’t you feel that you should have taken extra efforts in Billa 2?
As far as I am concerned I have given my best. My hard work and sincerity is true. I am not worried about what others say. My growth will always with me. It is enough if my fans give me recognition.
There was difference of opinion between A M Rathinam and you. Now you are acting in a film that is directed by him?
It is true. We can say that time have changed the difference of opinions. He will take care of me as if I am his brother. Whenever my film is released, he will speak to me with greater concern. I felt that I should join hands with him in the present situation. So when he approached me I agreed.
Why are you always lonely?
The friends who left me during my hard times did not return. Enough sir. In this world there no need to help one another. It is enough if they allow us to live peacefully. Even if this cinema is not there, I can survive. I can somehow manage. I only created this loneliness’ for me. I have also friends now but they are truthful to me.
Sridevi was the number one heroine in Tamil. She also rocked in Hindi films. She was the only leading actress in the 70s and 80s.Later on she married the Hindi producer Bony Kapoor and quit acting.
After a long Sabbath, she is acting in a film titled English Vinglish. The story of this film is about a housewife who suffers because she does not know English. This film is being produced in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
Rajni was approached to do a cameo in the Tamil version. Rajnikanth and Sridevi had paired in numerous Tamil films. Rajnikanth has refused citing his health conditions.Now Ajith has been approached. One of the important crew member of English Vinglish said, "We had requested Ajith to do a cameo role in our film. We are holding talks with him regard to do this." It is understood that Ajith is likely to act in this film.
The reason he says is, "They never interfered in our (Ajith & his brothers) decisions. Every time we did something, they would tell me not to regret it." They provided the basic education and lots of love and care, but how the three boys lived their lives was completely their call.
I understood that the word freedom is synonymous with responsibility at this point of my life. "As long as we were keeping ourselves occupied, our parents never invaded our decision. That is something i would like to pass onto my children. Give them the basic foundation, and let them decide what they want to do in life. That is probably the greatest asset that i have in life"
