Shutter is a super hit critically acclaimed Malayalam film which was released last year. The film which was directed by Joy Mathew collected heavy profits. The film had Lal, Srinivasan, Vinay Forrt and Sajitha Madhathil in the cast.
The film was about a gulf-returnee who finds himself trapped in a stuffy, empty shop room with a hooker and in the ensuing moments of uncertainty, he faces a probable debasement and some realizations that he would never have known otherwise.
Director A L Vijay has decided to remake this film in Tamil but it has not been mentioned that whether he has plans to only produce the Tamil remake of ‘Shutter’ and someone else may direct it.
The official announcement regarding this will be made soon. It is to be noted that Vijay’s debut film ‘Kireedam’ was the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film with same name.
