So far 7.1 sound technology have been used only in Hollywood and Bollywood films. Now for the first time this technology is being used in a Tamil cinema. That film is Aadhi Bhagavan which has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles.
This film has been directed by Ameer. A R Rahman through his A M Studio has introduced this technology in Tamil Nadu.Director Ameer while speaking about this said, "Modern technology is very important for the growth of cinema. The 7.1 sound technologies are already being in use in Hollywood and Bollywood. This is for the first time it has been used in Tamil cinema. I am proud that this technology is being used for the first time in my film Aadhi Bhagavan."
