'Koffee With DD' Anchor Dhivyadharshini Ties the Knot

Popular television anchor Dhivyadharshini (aka DD) tied the knot with her long-time friend Srikanth Ravichandran in Chennai on Sunday, 29 June.

The wedding took place in a traditional manner in the presence of family members and friends. Both the groom and the bride looked good in their traditional attire.

 The couple's wedding reception took place on Saturday. The event witnessed the presence of several television personalities including Devipriya, Robo Shankar, Sathish, Devadarshini, RJ Balaji, Jagan, Jennifer and film actor Subbu Panchu among others. 

DD is popular for hosting several shows on Vijay TV. She has worked in reality shows like "Jodi Number One", "Boys vs. Girls", "Home Sweet Home" and "Super Singer T20." Currently, she is hosting "Koffee with DD", where celebrities have a candid chat with her. She is also the anchor for the latest season of "Jodi No.1."

On the other hand, her groom Srikanth Ravinchandran is a filmmaker, who has assisted Gautham Menon. He is all set to make his directorial debut soon, reported Deccan Chronicle. 


Recently, Vijay TV held a sangeet ceremony for the couple, which was attended by other popular hosts of the channel. The sangeet ceremony special will be aired at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Trisha and Nayanthara in Amara Kaaviyam audio launch

Amara Kaaviyam is about the story that happens in the year 1988-89 in and around Ooty and Coimbatore.

Arya’s brother Sathya is donning the lead role in this film after Puthagam and Kadhal 2 Kalyanam.

Director Jeeva Shankar has mentioned that the screenplay of the film has been changed seven times before the shooting commenced. Actor Arya is producing the film. 

The audio CD of the film Amara Kaaviyam which consists of five songs was released today morning at Sathyam Cinemas. Gibran has composed the music. Nayanthara and Trisha participated and released the audio CD.

When she approached me, I was apprehensive about how she will approach a film compared to a male director but I soon realized end of the day, work is work and it doesn't matter who is doing it.

But the advantage was that since I was working with Sripriya, I spent a lot of time bonding with her off the sets. It is a great thing for a woman to achieve in cinema which is filled with male chauvinism. Only successes will bring women to this field. In that way I feel this film will be a great success."

Arya in Suseenthiran’s film

Suseenthiran directed his debut film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. After the stupendous success of the film, he continued to direct the films titled Naan Mahaan Alla, Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai, Rajapattai, Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer and Pandianadu.

Now he is directing a film titled Jeeva which has the backdrop of the cricket game. Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya are donning the lead roles in this film. D Imman is composing the music. Arya has been signed to appear in certain sequences.

When asked director Suseenthiran about this, he said, "I had asked Arya to act in certain sequences for which he agreed."

Apart from this Arya is donning the guest role in a film titled Romeo Juliet which has Jayam Ravi and Hansika in the lead roles. One of the leading actresses will pair with Arya in this film.

Music composer Devi Sriprasad to compose music for Vijay’s film once again
