Gowtham Menon speaks about Ilayaraja

There are lots of expectations for the songs of the film Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham among the musicians.

For the first time Gowtham Menon is joining hands with music composer Ilayaraja in the film Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham.

Two song teasers are already available in various websites. Normally Gowtham Menon’s films will have the music of Harris Jayaraj and A R Rahman.

There were various kinds of news on the rounds because Gowtham has joined hands with Ilayaraja. There were news that Gowtham has parted ways with Harris and A R Rahman is not composing music for Gowtham because he is busy with other films.

Gowtham Menon while speaking about this said, "I was penning the story for Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham.

At one point the hero Varun who goes to sing a song on the stage meets his school mate Nithya. Both of them have separated after a quarrel. For the past three years they don’t speak to each other.

The hero Varun is a singer. He comes to the stage but instead of singing the song which he had planned sings another song which begins with the lines Ninaivellam Nithya.

In the film Ninaivellam Nithya there is also another song Nee Thane Pon Vasantham. So I considered that this title would be suitable for my story.

Whenever I begin a film I will think of approaching Ilayaraja but later on I will not go to him. I wanted Ilayaraja to know about my work first.

When I penned the story for this film I decided that Ilayaraja only should compose music for this film. I approached him and he also agreed."
