7.1 sound technology for the first time in Tamil cinema

So far 7.1 sound technology have been used only in Hollywood and Bollywood films. Now for the first time this technology is being used in a Tamil cinema. That film is Aadhi Bhagavan which has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles.

Vijay’s strong speech lands him in trouble

These days, the public has become so much vigilant that they get any word of controversy, they immediately start offending them with ‘Memes’.

It had recently happened with director Lingusamy, who was so much hurt and so were their children that later the page that created ‘Lingusamy Memes’ apologised and decided to remove the page.

Now actor Vijay has fell into the issue with accordance to his recent speech at Nellai for the 50th day celebration of Kaththi. 

During the speech, he mentioned, “If our enemy talks softly, we have to talk softly. If he talks ‘Vera Maathiri’, then we should do the same.” Instantly, many micro-bloggers started forming the groups ‘#veramathirimemes’ and #veramathirivijay and posted some comments and pictures.

Suriya’s Masss climax goes the Mankatha way

Following the grand success of Mankatha and Biriyani, Venkat Prabhu has been briskly working on his upcoming film Masss starring Suriya and Nayantara in lead roles.

The film is reported to be a supernatural thriller laced with fantasy and horror elements. 

Recently, the entire crew is busy shooting for the climax portion after a schedule of 10days across the backdrops of a grand set work near Chengalpat. 

During the final fight sequence in Mankatha climax, there is a petrol bunk used as the backdrop and owing to the success sentiment, Venkat Prabhu has used the same set work for Masss climax as well.  

The climax portion will involve almost everyone in the crew including Suriya, Parthiepan, Samuthirakani, Jayaram and Madhu Sudhan Rao of Goli Soda fame. What will be surprising to see in the film’s climax is that we wouldn’t know who the good and baddie is.

Nanbenda audio launch on December 23

Following the grand success of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi and Idhu Kathiravelan Kadhal, producer-actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has almost completed working on his next film Nanbenda.

Touted to be a romantic comedy, the film brings back Nayantara together with Udhayanidhi for the second time after Idhu Kathiravelan Kadhal.

The film is produced by Udhayanidhi under the banner of Red Giant Movies and is directed by Jagdish, a former associate of Rajesh. 

Harris Jayaraj has composed music for this album and Sony BMG before few minutes had unveiled the news on its micro-blogging page that the audio launch of Nanbenda will happen on December 23.

It is worth mentioning that Harris Jayaraj had composed music for the previous films of Udhayanidhi Stalin titled Oru Kal Oru Kannadi and Idhu Kathiravelan Kadhal. As in all the previous films of Udhayanidhi, Santhanam will be playing the full length comedy role in this flick.

Shankar’s I trailer to be released today

Shankar’s most expected film ‘I’ starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles is getting ready for release on January 9, the tentative date before a week of Pongal festival.

The film is produced by Aascar Ravichandran at a whopping budget of 150Crores and has a lot of technical extravaganzas including AR Rahman’s newfangled music, P.C. Sriram’s visual magic and mind-boggling stunt works by Anal Arasu.

Moreover, the makeover works by Weta Studios, which worked for some of the Hollywood’s most celebrated top-charting films like Lord of the Rings et al has been involved in this project for the makeover of Vikram.

The strong calls on airs has been doing rounds on micro-blogging pages that the full-length theatrical trailer of I will be released by end of this day, which has a running length of 2 minutes.

3 releases, 3 genres and 3 different experiences for Christmas

This Christmas, the film buffs have lots of reasons to celebrate. Prabhu Solomon’s Kayal, Arya-Hansika Motwani starrer Meaghamann and Vikram Prabhu’s Vellaikaara Durai have been confirmed for releases and their censor certification processes are over as well.

What’s more interesting is the fact that all these three movies are based on different genres and will surely offer a unique feeling and experience to all the audiences.

The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon and is produced by Escape Artists Madhan. Set in backdrops of Tsunami, the film stars Chandran and Anandhi in lead roles.

Arya’s Meaghamann will be a crime-thriller with Hansika Motwani in female lead. The film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and is produced by Nemichand Jhabak.

Finally, Vikram Prabhu’s Vellaikaara Durai will be and out and out comedy, directed by Ezhil. Sri Divya of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam has played the female lead with Soori and Singam Puli taking care of comedy portions.
